Quick start guide to your first counter

You'll be counting in minutes. This guide walks you through downloading Tally Counter, creating your first counter, and customizing it to fit your needs. No complicated setup required — just download, create, and start!

5-Minute Setup

Follow these simple steps to get started.

Download from App Store

Visit the Apple App Store and search for "Tally Counter" by Reku. Tap "Get" and authenticate with Face ID or Apple ID. Installation takes less than a minute.

Open the App

Launch Tally Counter. You'll see an empty home screen with a large + button at the bottom. This is your starting point for creating a new counter.

Create Your First Counter

Tap the + button. A sheet appears asking you to name your counter. Enter something meaningful like "Daily Walks", "Books Read", or "Meditation Minutes".

Choose a Color & Icon

Select from 12 beautiful color themes. Optionally tap to add an emoji that represents your counter. This makes it easy to spot at a glance on your home screen.

Start Counting

Your counter is created! Tap the large + button in the card to increment by 1. Tap - to decrease. Watch the count change in real-time. It's that simple.

Customize (Optional)

Long-press the counter card to access more options: rename it, reset to zero, change the color, or set daily reminders. Create as many counters as you need.

Rename Your Counter

Long-press the counter card and tap "Edit" to change the name. Keep names descriptive and clear so you remember what you're tracking.

Pick a Color Theme

Choose from 12 vibrant colors. Different colors help you quickly identify counters when you have many active at once.

Add an Emoji

Tap the emoji icon to add a visual representation. Use relevant emojis like 🏃 for workouts or 📚 for reading to make tracking more fun.

Set Daily Reminders

Long-press a counter and tap "Set Reminder" to get daily notifications. Choose the time that works best for your habit. Reminders help build consistency.

Reset Your Counter

Long-press and tap "Reset" to set the count back to zero. Useful for daily counters or when you want to start fresh.
